Wendy Adams, PhD is the Director of Research at Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF). She is passionate about bringing together professional and lived experience to drive change across the PF research landscape. She works closely with people affected by PF and other key stakeholders including patient advocacy organisations, researchers, and industry so that more people living with PF have access to evidence based effective treatment and care.
Wendy inspires others and brings people together; helps build capacity throughout the research ecosystem; and supports information sharing and implementation of change. Priority areas of work include increasing funding for PF research, improving patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in research, and maximising inclusive opportunities to take part in research. Wendy is driving PPIE on several UK and international research projects, including REMAP-ILD.
